Off To College With Notebook Computers in Hand |

With my son's graduation less than two months away, my husband and I have been trying to decide what we could give him for graduation that he could actually use. I know that most kids want money, and I'm sure my son is not an exception to that rule, but my husband and I tend to want to give him something more practical, since we know he'll blow any cash he receives on new clothes and on the senior trip that he's taking with his friends.
A few days ago I asked my husband what he thought about notebook computers as a gift idea for our son. Since our son has been using the notebook computers in the house and neither one of them are actually his, it is out of the question for him to take one of the notebook computers with him off to college. My husband and I both talked about the pros of notebook computers and with him heading off to college it will be perfect because technically he can carry notebook computers with him anywhere which would make it easy for him to do projects and homework no matter where he may be.
Even though we knew there would be other gifts that we could give him that would probably be more appealing than notebook computers, we both knew that it would be the most practical gift, plus we actually couldn't imagine him spending all his time in the library which is the only access he would have to a computer unless his roommate had one. All that is too early to say at this point and I really thought he would enjoy knowing he had his own notebook computers and didn't have to borrow one or spend all his time in the library. In the end, my husband and I both agreed that we'd start checking out notebook computers and that we wanted to get him the best one we could find for the price we had in mind. I found several notebook computers like this Compaq Presario CQ61Z series at Balboa Point whose online store can be found by visiting www.balboapoint.com/ and my husband is going to decide which one we will go with and I'll probably place the order sometime later in the week. I'm going to have it delivered to my mom’s house so that our son won't see the computer. I don't want him to see it until it's time for graduation. I can't believe that he's old enough to be heading off to college in the fall with notebook computers in hand. My baby is growing up. |
